Welcome to my website. My name is Pavla and my mission in this world is to be a pointer through inner labyrinths. I see myself as a landmark on the paths to spaces where the Self and the time can be experienced differently. Coming from my own wandering through the inner landscapes, I work slowly, through body and stories, with the unseen and the hidden. I work on meeting the Mínótauros within with curiosity, courage, and love.

To say a little about myself: I am trained in yoga, Somatic Experiencing, psychedelic work, and in conscious touch practices. I have studied and worked in the fields of psychology, education, DEI, and map making. I live in the Czech Paradise and in Berlin with my husband. I love nature, food, and connecting with others. My favourite time of the year is autumn. I am deeply passionate about exploration of people’s stories, spiritual traditions, and mythologies of the world.

Soul Sofa came to me as a vision of a space where souls can rest, where they feel safe and comfortable to open up. Soul Sofa is where bodies and souls are held in a gentle yet firm way without judgements and expectations. Imagine a night, sounds of rain drops hitting the tin roof above your head, fire in the stove in front of you. Nothing else to do, nowhere else to be, than here. Telling the story of your past, enjoying the presence, and exploring your deepest desires, longings, and fears in order to outline your future. I am here with you, keeping the fire going, refilling your teacup, listening, witnessing you as you explore your Self. Having your back when you work with the parts of you that emerge from the darkness to be finally seen and met.

My Approach

It all began with my Soul Purpose Discovery journey during which I uncovered my desire to meet others on the Soul level. I feel called to offer work with soul from the perspective of the body. In my work, I combine the methods I am trained in with loving presence and non-judgmental attitude. I try to follow the present moment unfolding in my client instead of setting rigid goals and expectations. However, I try to support clients working with intention and purpose.

SOMATIC EXPERIENCING (SE)

I am being trained in this method of working with trauma. More than anything else, this method is about slowing down and being gentle. With oneself, with others. I am a client of SE myself and I’ve had the experience of being held via this method in my own individual therapy for more than 4 years now.  I sought this method because I needed to work with my early childhood medical trauma and I fell in love with SE because it is a very powerful way of working while being quite unspectacular and slow.

PSYCHEDELIC WORK

By psychedelic I mean work with altered states of consciousness. I have experienced these states myself many times and I regularly seek opportunities to go back to this work for my personal growth and healing. I have a certification of psychedelic practitioner from the Synthesis Institute and I believe that working intentionally with these states (working properly with safety, preparation, and integration) can be highly beneficial. At the same time I also believe this type of work is not good or suitable for everyone.

mythology

My work is deeply rooted in mythology, symbols, spirituality, and stories. I am a big fan of the work of M. Meade, M. Star, C. Pinkola Estés, B. Plotkin, and of The Emerald podcast (J. Schrei), among many others. I see myths as vital narratives for understanding the world around us and for understanding life itself. I systematically educate myself in mythologies of the world and I am often inspired by Greek mythology and it’s legacy that is still alive in European culture, in psychology studies, and in the languages I speak.

COOPERATION

A crucial part of my work is cooperation with other people. On one side, I work with supervisors and mentors who hold me and help me to become a better professional. I also work with peer groups on ethical issues and issues arising from dealing with clients. The other side of cooperation is that I love holding spaces together with others. We help each other out, we elevate and learn from each other. I see cooperation as the highest form of work and also the most natural one as we humans are not created to live and work alone.

ETHICS & ACCOUNTABILITY

CONSCIOUS TOUCH, SENSUALITY & TEMPLE SPACES

I am a graduate of Like a Pro: The Wheel of Consent for Professionals, for working with boundaries, body sovereignty, trauma recovery, communication, and touch. I hold spaces where sexuality, sensuality, and nourishment of soul through contact with others is explored. I love teaching about communication around those topics and I offer a non-sexual touch sessions for individuals.
