Poetry of matter

I write poetry since about 25 years ago. I won couple of school poetry contests when I was a teenager, handed over couple poems to my friends and lovers. But for a long time, my poems mainly ended up in my drawer, unread, unheard. About 5 years ago I started to feel a desire to publish them in Czech, to be heard and shared. I created a collection called Poezie hmoty (Poetry Of Matter) as an ode to body, it’s pains and it’s pleasures, to love. I was told by couple of publishing houses that poetry is not exactly what sells these days. I couldn’t care less.

So I decided to publish it the way people do these days: on Instagram. I publish them in English and in Czech and I share this here because they tell more about me than a usually text could ever do: POETRY OF MATTER
